Searching for Mooncakes in New Jersey? Look no further!

The Moon Festival is here, and the time to secure our mooncakes is almost upon us! These are a few top-rated shops and websites in New Jersey and beyond that are sure to get your spirits ready for the Mid-Autumn Festival!

Sunmerry Bakery Cafe

With locations in Edison, Fort Lee and Green Brook, New Jersey, Sunmerry Bakery Cafe is an amazing option that features an expansive food menu. Satisfy any craving (sweet or savory) with amazing options like Green Tea Croissants, BBQ Pork Bolo, Shitake Mushroom Cheese Buns, and so much more.

Of course, if there’s one thing Sunmerry does well, it's Mooncakes! The cakes can be bought as singles, as well as assorted flavors packed up to go in three variations of a gift box. The cafe offers a variety of classic flavored Mooncakes to try, including Cantonese Lotus, Cantonese Red Bean, Red Bean Egg Yolk, and Taiwanese Taro.

They also make specialty Lava Mooncakes in just as many flavors — Mocha Coffee, Oolong Matcha, Chocolate, Milk Tea, and Ube Milk! Sunmerry’s Bakery Cafe is the perfect place to go and enjoy all of the amazing different available flavors!

99 Ranch Market

If your joy is born from gifting treats to friends and family during the Mid-Autumn Festival, perhaps you should pay a visit to 99 Ranch Market, located conveniently on Rt-1 South in Edison, New Jersey.

The market carries something for everyone — whether you're shopping for the whole family, or for one special person, the Market has you covered. The versatile grocery store offers gift boxes of mooncakes of assorted flavors and quantities to fit all of your needs. Our favorite of these packages is an 8pcs set of Mei Xin Lava Custard Mooncakes, which come in a beautiful, embossed tin case.

Sheng Kee Bakery

Sheng Kee Bakery was family-founded and built in Taiwan in 1948, and has since grown into a flourishing business that honors Taiwanese tradition, techniques, and values. This bakery is a wonderful way for those of you who may not live near a market or bakery to get your hands on delicious Mooncakes. Sheng Kee Bakery ships nationwide and is the definition of convenience — skip the drive and have your mooncake delivered right to your doorstep!

Though mooncake orders cannot be combined with other pastry purchases, Sheng Kee Bakery continues to uphold its Taiwanese values and roots. Shen Kee’s Mooncakes started out as a seasonal treat, but quickly grew to become the bakery’s “staple specialty.”

Wherever you decide to get your mooncake for this year’s Moon Festival (or if you make them yourself), I want to hear from you! Reach out on Instagram @byyobeqiu and show me your spread!
